Fall down the rabbit hole in this bold, modern twist on the Disney classic!

Join Alice as she tumbles into the whimsical world of Wonderland in Alice in Wonderland JR., a fast-paced, fun-filled musical adventure bursting with unforgettable characters, eye-popping costumes, and intricate  ensemble work. This updated stage version blends the beloved animated film with exciting elements from the 2010 live-action adaptation, creating a fresh take that’s both nostalgic and new.

As Alice journeys through a topsy-turvy world of talking flowers, dancing cards, and mad tea parties, she discovers not just a way home—but who she truly is. Along the way, she meets all your favourite Wonderland oddballs, including the always-late White Rabbit, a super chill Caterpillar, the mischievous Cheshire Cat, the zany Mad Hatter, and the explosive Queen of Hearts.

With iconic Disney songs like “The Golden Afternoon,” “The Unbirthday Song,” and “Painting the Roses Red,” plus brand-new tunes that crank up the energy, this show is packed with wacky fun, hilarious moments, and non-stop movement. Whether you’re looking to shine in a standout role or love being part of a lively ensemble, there’s a place for everyone in this imaginative, high-energy youth production! It’s sure to be another huge hit!

*Rehearsals start September 7th                 

*NEW THIS YEAR Only Two Days a week – Rehearsal times are Thursdays 4:30-7:30pm  and Sundays 1:00-5:30pm. With additional dates and times as required, especially for primary roles. You must make every effort to be present at all the rehearsals for which you are scheduled so as to not hold back the rehearsal process. If there will be conflicts (such as previously scheduled appointments, vacations etc.), please be prepared to let us know at the auditions.

Mandatory dates *Non-negotiable

Tech and Dress rehearsals: November 15th, 16th (all day) & 17th (evening)

Performances at Georgian Theatre – School Matinees: November 18th (TBD), 19th, 20th, 21st (Must be available from 8 am- 3:30 pm)

Public Performances: Friday November 21st at 7.00pm, Saturday November 22nd (at 2.00pm and 7.00pm) Sunday  November 23rd (at 2.00pm)       

 AUDITIONS INFORMATION

Session 1: June 17th & 18th & 19th  4:30-8:30pm (choose one day)

Auditions will be scheduled in 80-minute sessions for groups of 8-10 people. 

There are 3 segments to this session 

  1. Dance Call – The group will learn and perform a small choreographed number from the show. 
  2. Group readings – Auditionees will read through excerpts of the scripts together. *these excerpts will be sent to you ahead of time, you may be asked to read for any role*
  3. Individual vocal auditions – Please prepare 2 minutes MAX of a contemporary musical theatre song that showcases your vocal and acting range suitable to the show. Comedic and/or lyric driven songs are preferred.

You must bring your own accompaniment track with your song cued up and ready to play. We will have a speaker to connect to. No live accompanist is available. Please do not sing acapella.

Note: Anyone considered for a primary role, is required to attend callbacks. These individuals will be notified by email promptly after initial auditions are complete. 

Session 2 Callbacks (For Primary Roles) June 20th 4:30pm-6:30pm

During this session we will be doing cold reads and learning songs from the show. Everyone that is called back will be required to stay for the whole allotted time unless stated otherwise in the email. 

Note : All attendees could be required to read & sing for several different characters, so be prepared for anything and become familiar with the show.   

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. Alice In Wonderland Jr . is an ensemble heavy-show and features many high energy and exciting roles for all ages, we intend to give every cast member a featured part at some point in the show, and every person in the cast can expect to play multiple different characters.
  2. Understudies may be cast.
  3. We are looking for strong dancers who excel in hip-hop & acro.  
  4. Character ages & genders are flexible.

TIPS: 

  1. Please dress appropriately as a dance/movement audition will be required.
