This is a youth production, with the entire cast being under the age of eighteen. The play brings
to life the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss, featuring favourite characters such as Horton the
Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Iazy Mayzie and the wonderful Whos!
The story follows Horton the Elephant who must protect his friends, in the invisible world of
Whos, from the naysayers of the Jungle of Nool. He is also entrusted with the task of guarding
the abandoned egg of Iazy Mayzie. Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial. The
powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant in
this beautiful story, perfect for the kid in everyone.
