About the Show

Looking for a musical that’s deliciously dark, wickedly funny and packed with unforgettable music? Expect mystery, intrigue, memorable characters and a score that will both challenge and inspire

DIRECTOR’S NOTE to ACTORS: The vision for this production is to create a world that feels alive, unpredictable, and constantly shifting. The ensemble will be an essential part of that world, heavily used to decorate and transform the stage, populate the city, and help drive many of the scenes and moments of the story.

This production will also be a process of play and self-discovery. Every actor, including the ensemble, should be willing to experiment, take risks, and find their own way into the world of the show. Every detail will not be dictated for characters or scenes; instead, we’ll work together to discover what makes these characters and this story compelling. Come ready to play, collaborate, and surprise yourself.

REHEARSAL & PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS:
A full commitment to the following calendar and expectations:

As cast members will only be scheduled when needed, the artistic team will make every effort to have schedules available 2 weeks in advance. Please remember that a musical is a living, breathing entity. Things don’t always go exactly as planned, so changes to the plan will most likely be made throughout the rehearsal process. We promise to give you as much advance notice as possible on all changes that arise.

REHEARSALS held at 481 Welham Rd, Unit 12 Barrie
Wed Dec 9th & 16th – Meet and greet with read through full cast and available production team members (Act I on Dec. 9th, Act II on Dec. 16th)

January 6th to January 27th
Wednesdays 7:00pm-10:00pm

February 16th to May 26th
Wednesdays and Fridays 7:00pm – 10pm
Sundays 6pm – 9pm (potential to add Sunday afternoons – 1pm to 5pm as needed, and earlier end time for Sunday evenings)

Tech Week & Dress Rehearsals
May 28th, 29th, 30th (be available for potential full days on the Sat/Sun), evenings May 31, June 1st, 2nd.

Performances – June 3, 4, 9, 10 (evenings) June 5 & 112 (matinees & evenings) June 6 & 13 (matinees only)

• Membership Fees of $113.00 (includes HST) are due and payable within 14 days of casting and are non-refundable. (additional family members – fee is $67.80 – includes HST)
• Signed agreement with KCP policies and Code of Conduct due online prior to Read Through

To book your audition, please click the audition form Link. You will be sent a time to audition by email from our stage manager.

All auditions will include vocal solo time and group choreo. Please allow 70 minutes for your full audition call.

CALL BACKS: Callbacks will be Friday, October 30th, evening
DETAILS FOR CALLBACKS: any potential resources will be emailed to you when your initial audition time is set. This allows several weeks to review the callback materials.
You will be notified by email by the end of day Sun., Oct. 25th if you are required for callbacks.

Please note that not receiving a message about a callback does not mean you won’t be cast in the show. Additionally, a callback does not guarantee a role in the production.
