Welcome and thank you for taking the time to audition for the Kempenfelt Community Players production of Come From Away.
Whether we’ve worked together before or this is the first time we’re meeting, I’m genuinely grateful that you’re here.

Auditions can be exciting, intimidating, exhilarating, and sometimes all of those things at once. We know how much time, preparation, and courage it takes to put yourself out there, and we want you to know that we see and appreciate that.

Come From Away is unlike any other musical. It’s a story built on empathy, humanity, humour, resilience, and the extraordinary things that happen when ordinary people choose kindness. As we prepare to bring this story to life, we’re not just looking for exceptional performers— we are looking for people who are excited to be part of an ensemble, who value collaboration, and who want to help create a space where everyone feels supported, respected, and encouraged to do their best work.

No matter the outcome of auditions, I want to personally thank you for jumping into this somewhat unconventional audition process with me. Community theatre only exists because people are willing to share their time, talent, and heart, and that is something I never take for granted.
