The heat is on! And, thanks to Lt. Brannigan of the New York Police Department, nobody in town is going to give Nathan Detroit a place in which to conduct his nightly Crap Game, the Oldest Established Permanent Floating Crap Game in New York. Nobody, that is, except Joey Biltmore who will take a chance if Nathan can come up with a thousand bucks, in advance. So, against the wishes of Miss Adelaide, Nathan’s fiancee of 14 years, he makes a sucker bet with fellow gambler Sky Masterson that Sky cannot take a certain Mission doll named Sarah Brown to Havana for dinner. The wager…. a thousand bucks!
